structure
Our organisation is made up of different areas that work closely together to achieve our shared goals. Each area plays a crucial role and contributes to the success of our team with special tasks and expertise.
Mechanical departments
Aerodynamics play an important role in the performance of our vehicle. It ensures efficient airflow and optimises the cooling of technical components. Aerodynamics also generate the necessary downforce, which ensures the stability and control of the vehicle at high speeds. Without a well thought-out aerodynamic design, the vehicle would lose a significant amount of performance.
Tasks
-
Stabilization of the vehicle at high speed
-
Improved cornering behavior
-
Incoming flow to the cooling elements
-
Improved driving behavior

The ‘Chassis’ department is responsible for the design, construction and production of our carbon monocoque. To ensure a light, safe and stable vehicle structure, the department works with innovative materials such as CFRP and aramid. The focus is always on maximising safety – from crash scenarios to fire protection – and ensuring the highest standards for drivers and vehicles. In addition to structural stability, ergonomics also play a major role: the seat, steering wheel and headrest are customized to ensure an optimum seating position and comfort.
Tasks
-
Construction and design of our monocoque and safety equipment in CAD programs
-
Design and simulation of CFRP sandwich laminates
-
Carrying out material tests
-
Manual manufacture of various CFRP components

Powertrain covers the areas of transmission and cooling. The transmission ensures efficient power transfer from the motors to the wheels and offers a balance between maximum torque for acceleration and maximum speed thanks to ideal transmission ratios. The cooling systems for the motors, power electronics and battery are designed to operate the high-voltage components in optimum temperature ranges to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
Tasks Gearbox
-
Designing transmission components
-
Analyzing the designed components
-
Assembly of the components
-
Performing tests
Tasks Cooling
-
Designing cooling circuits
-
Selection of suitable pumps and coolers
-
Cooling of the inverter, battery and motors
-
Design of cooling sleeves for the motors

Vehicle Dynamics provides the basis for the driving performance of our racing car. This includes the design of the suspension, the development of steering and braking systems and the customisation of the pedal box. The kinematics of the suspension form the structural backbone and are carefully tuned to ensure stability and agility. Suspension set-ups are customised to adapt the vehicle to the respective track conditions.
Tasks
-
Construction in CAD
-
Undercarriage assembly
-
Vehicle setup
-
Simulation (FEM, MKS, lap time, ...)

Electrical Departments
The Electronics department develops and manufactures customised PCBs that use either highly integrated microcontroller solutions or precise analogue circuit logic. Our overall vehicle software, including embedded applications on our boards, enables the control of all critical systems, from live telemetry to driver displays and safety mechanisms. In addition, we develop advanced control systems such as slip control and torque vectoring to ensure optimal power transmission and vehicle stability. The wiring harness we design and manufacture ensures that all components are optimally connected to each other.
Tasks
-
Development of the overall vehicle software
-
Planning and production of circuit boards and cable harnesses
-
Responsible for live telemetry, driver radio and display
-
Development and implementation of control systems such as slip control and torque vectoring

The Driverless department focuses on the development of robust software for image-based perception, planning and control tailored to autonomous racing cars. We integrate sensors such as cameras and GPS to enable precise and reliable autonomous navigation. Strict testing and validation ensures that our software meets the highest safety and performance standards in dynamic environments.
Tasks
-
General software development
-
Training and development of neuronal networks
-
Development of navigation and trajectory planning
-
Actuator control

The ‘High Voltage’ department is responsible for the development and construction of our own battery storage systems to ensure an optimal energy supply. The work also includes the design of power electronics as well as the implementation and parameterisation of inverters and motors to coordinate the drivetrain. Another project is the development of a charging cart for a reliable and efficient charging system.
Tasks
-
Design and manufacture of the accumulator
-
Installation of the high-voltage board network
-
Monitoring the electrical safety conditions on the vehicle
-
Installation and parameterization of the inverters and motors

Business Department
The ‘Business’ department is responsible for a variety of tasks that arise alongside the construction of our racing car. These include the static disciplines ‘Business Plan’ and ‘Cost Report’, which contribute to the team’s success at events. The department is also responsible for representing the organisation through social media activities, event management and graphic design, including team clothing, posters, etc. The department is also responsible for HR in order to recruit new members and integrate them into the team.
Aufgaben
-
HR & Eventmanagement
-
Statics (Business Plan & Cost Report)
-
Marketing & Sponsor acquisition (u.a. Social Media & Website)
-
Video- & Photography, Graphic Design
